Heart Attack VS Heartburn

If you are one of those people who does not take good care of your health; no annual health check-up; opt for doctor appointment as the last resort; plus, other risk factors such as smoking, obesity, etc.; you ought to be more careful with the following conditions.

Heartburn

Heartburn is when you often belch with sour or bitter liquid regorge in your mouth and throat. The condition usually involves colicky pain in your chest, indigestion, difficulties and pain when swallowing food, distended abdomen, feeling nausea, vomiting and heartburn. It often leads to stress and insomnia. However, sometimes the condition could be just heartburn, feeling nausea and colicky pain in the chest. Most people when having this condition would think it is just a symptom of gastroesophageal reflux. Just go to the pharmacy, take some medicines, and it will heal. But what if it is not ‘just a gastroesophageal reflux’!?

Heart attack

The condition of a heart attack may involve colicky pain in your chest, feeling nausea, vomiting, heartburn, pain in the abdomen area, rapid heartbeat, excessive sweating, shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping, tiredness, dizziness, and so forth. At times, the body would show as a tiniest symptom as you could think of, and with the surrounding and physical conditions of some people, they tend to overlook the fact that it may be a symptom of a heart attack. Unfortunately, such an incident often leads to a clearer but also a more serious condition that would hospitalize the patients. Whereas, time is imperative in rescuing these patients from such a fatal stage.

With all that being said, we hope you are more aware of how ‘thin’ is that thin red line. If you ever experienced either of the above symptoms, we would highly recommend you to pay more attention to the following factors:

  • Whether the blood cholesterol levels are higher than normal;
  • Whether diabetes or blood sugar levels are higher than normal;
  • Any cardiopathy history in the families;
  • Overweight factor;
  • Lack of exercise;
  • Preference for junk food and carbonated drinks; and so forth

It is highly recommended for those having the conditions and involved factors to get a health check-up to confirm that it is not a symptom of heart attack.

Nonetheless, it does not mean that if you do not get it now, you will be saved for life. You still need to take annual health check-up. As the elders always said, the earlier, the better. There is no way to resurrect your heart muscle once it dies off. Your heart would never work the same again. Please do not take such advantage over your body until it is too late.
